As a software developer and small business owner I initially thought I might not count to the intended audience of the author. The topic of standardizing processes and creating effective work caught my attention though. And as it turns out, Muenzing has a very broad view of processes. They can be found everywhere in our lives. He's written the book for 'those who wish to get more predictable results with less work.' So simple. And I agree with him: Whether you're CEO of a multinational corporati [...]

I'm in the process of writing my procedures for my small business. While I don't think the book is a total waste of time, it fell short in a few ways. I then realized how business processes can make or break a business--in particular, the efficiency or inefficiency of those processes. [...]

This book was a godsend for me. I have a lengthy corporate background and recently took a new management position at a smaller company as a challenge to myself. Leading a small team of individuals who had some terribly wasteful procedures and practises in place was more than I bargained for. One by one, on the advice of "From Chaos to Control" I was able to implement new processes, and within 5-6 weeks, a team that could have gone by the wayside and dismissed as unproductive and wasteful was rec [...]
